Our vaulted ceiling cracks in the same place every winter. Can that be stopped?
Usually yes, but not by refilling it. Recurring cracks at a vault or a ridge are movement at a structural joint, and the fix is a repair detail that allows the joint to move without opening a visible line. Filling it again produces the same crack next winter.
Do you paint after the repair?
We leave the repair paint-ready — primed where it needs to be, textured to match, and cleaned up. Painting is a separate trade. If you want the area painted too, mention it early so we can talk through what it takes to avoid a visible touch-up square.
